DESCRIPTION OF WORKS:
Complete roofing to 3 new build luxury homes in the heart of Cheshire . Architects wanted us to use a clay tile for durability but also had to match in with the small tile surrounding roofs . We proposed the 20/20 interlocking clay tile from new generation range from sandtoft which was just perfect for this project. With being a new build project in Northwich Cheshire insurers wanted a mechanicly fixed ridge tile but in the mean time the Architects wanted traditional lead work where neccersary .
PROBLEMS OVERCOME:
As we arrived on day 1 to all the roof trusses in place and fixed we found they were out of level here and there by up to 2 inches in places . So using treated timber packers to bring all roof battons to a perfect flatness, we were set with a perfect flat battened roof area ready for tiling. When a week into the job the Architects informed us we was going to need to stop as they decided late they wanted to build large chimneys to each property.
With facing facts they needed to source bricklayers and this could take some time which would completely tear our schedule apart for upcoming projects we stepped in to build these beautiful chimneys, so the project could go ahead and be complete on schedule.
